'Celebration of Sound / Arts Feed the Need' Fall Arts Festival Slated for October 29, Showcasing Visual Arts, Vocal Music

October 13, 2025

The community is invited to experience an evening highlighting the artistic talents of Prince George County Public Schools' students during the upcoming Celebration of Sound and Arts Feed the Need event.

This year's arts festival is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Prince George High School in the lobby and auditorium.

'Arts Feed The Need' Art Showcase & Silent Auction
Begins at 5:30 p.m.

Program for Artistically Advanced Services (PAAS) visual arts students in grades 5-12 have been working on decorating, painting, and glazing bisque plates to donate to the silent auction event. The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and conclude prior to the start of the vocal music concert. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the concert.

The proceeds of the silent auction will go to the Prince George Animal Shelter this year. This arts project aims to provide a real-world, service-learning opportunity to students in one of the many ways the visual arts can positively impact a community.

'Celebration of Sound' Vocal Music Concert
Begins at 6:30 p.m.

Free and open to the public, this event serves as the culmination of many weeks of preparation by students at their home school. During the musical showcase, Program for Artistically Advanced Services (PAAS) vocal music students will come together to work with a guest clinician, Richard W. Robbins, Director of Choral Activities at Shenandoah University, and Director of the Richmond Symphony Chorus, on music encompassing many styles and time periods.
