Donations of school supplies are being accepted through Tuesday, August 6, 2024. These school supplies will be organized by volunteers and used to fill backpacks that will be available for children and families during each school’s pre-opening orientation session later this summer!

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the Prince George School Board welcomed dozens of Prince George County Public Schools students, coaches, and advisors to a special celebration recognizing their achievements over the last several months.

Prince George County Public Schools thanks all of our incredible staff members for their years of service as they prepare for retirement and celebrates our award winners for their exceptional work and embodiment of the district's mission - to engage, encourage, and inspire every child, every day.

Each school's delegation participated in a diverse assortment of activities at this year's event, with each event staffed by student and adult volunteers, including players and coaches from the high school's football, soccer, baseball, and softball teams.

Farm Day gives students the opportunity to engage with a multi-million dollar local industry in their own backyard, while delivering engaging experiences that align with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) science-related objectives

Both South Elementary's Mrs. Pepper and Middle Road Elementary's Mr. Mallory impressed the selection panel, earning tie scores from the committee during interviews, resulting in their being named Support Employees of the Year for the district for 2024.

Throughout April, the district's schools will play host to a variety of special events celebrating military-connected children and families, along with many students and staff expected to take part in Purple Up Day on April 18 in honor of military kids!

During a school's individual Technology Field Day event, fifth graders rotate through stations developed and staffed by Prince George High School CTE students, with each station focusing on the 21st-century learning skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, citizenship, and creativity.
